getting an engineering company to pay for my degree if I work for them

basically im in year 13 so I'm not doing an apprenticeship which is how most people get companies to pay for your degree. I was wondering if there was any way in which I could get an aerospace company to pay for my degree if I say I'll work for them. I was thinking of doing this by maybe having a part time job at there place or something. so would this work or has anyone done something similar?
thanks in advance:smile:

As far as I know this sort of thing doesn't tend to happen with full time undergraduate students, as they have less control over what you do week on week and will only get the benefit in three years time. For part time degrees it's possible if you work for said company, and it's relatively common to do this for postgraduate degrees.

Doing a work placement during your degree with a company can of course lead to a graduate role there, but they may also want to work with you on a final year project or dissertation. In this case they may provide extra funding or facilities for the project, but it's unlikely they would fund your degree itself.

Hope that helps

You want to do a degree apprenticeship, they can get a bit competitive because you're getting your degree paid for and usually a pretty decent salary on top of that. They can also take a bit longer than a normal degree depending on the program, will usually just be a bachelor's rather than the standard masters, and may be more specialised than a self-funded degree.
