Not sure I understand your point totally but: the rising fail because the rebels were totally underarmed and unprepared (they knew this) and went ahead in the full knowledge that they would be crushed.

There are a number of other reasons:
- lack of guns
- most of IV was against it
- most of population was not willing to participate.

The Rising failed because it did not have the numbers needed to sustain it. This was down to a variety of reasons, one being the fact that Eoin MacNeill, when informed that the Rising was to take place, effectively cancelled it by placing an ad in all of the national papers. Also, the gun runnings had not been as successful as hoped so as mentioned, they were not armed enough.

A lot of Dublin people were absolutely disgusted, they argued that the real soldiers were those Irish fighting in WW1, wives were disgusted that they couldn't receive their soldiers'w wives pensions from the GPO (or some such allowance) and nobody appreciated that the city was destroyed and civillians were killed. Of course, this all changed when the leaders were executed..the British made martyrs of them and the failure of the Rising spurred those it inspired into eventual victory.
