I had 9 periods a fortnight. A period is one hour, so that's 4.5 hours a week. (so four subjects = 18 hours taught time a week)
I had 4 periods a week which was 4 hours 40mins lesson time

thats per subject

Haha!

Yeah, I'm curious about how long I'll spend at college...when I went for my taster lessons in February I think the maths teacher said we'll be taught for 3 hours a week, but I'm not sure if that's just maths or if it's the same for all subjects. Actually, I think it must vary, because isn't a full-time course a minimum of 16 hours a week?

I see the title of the thread made us think along the same lines lol

9 x 35 minute periods a week for each subject
So that's nearly 5.5 hours a week teaching time per subject.
But I'm doing my 6th form in school, not a college
We had the same for AS as for A2...

One period per day (1 hour long) per subject. (So much for variety lol.) Total of five hours per subject per week.

(In Yr12 you also had three 1 hour frees, 1 hour of PE and 1 hour of 'enrichment' and in Yr13 you had 9 1 hour frees - up to two a day - and 1 hour of General Studies...)

*feels embarassed*

lol
I had 5 hours of each subject each week. Divided into 2 double lessons (2 hours long) and 1 single.
14 forty-minute periods per subject across a two-week timetable - most of our lessons are doubles, though.

We have 4 periods a week, at an hour each, except for the period thats at the start of the day, which is an hour and 40 mins - so we do 4 hours 40 mins of each subject a week.

oh cause period are usually double periods.
you'd have 3 double periods a week and a triple period.
its good.
you get loads done :s

I get 20 a week if you include RE/PE, 17 if you don't.
4.5 hrs per week per subject, then tutorial (1hr) and key skills (1hr) per week
we had 9 over a two week timetable for every subject except media and business which is 8 and languages which are 6.
