So I was checking everything over today when I viewed my accomodation offer and it said the gender was mixed ... when i accepted the offer it said single sex ... Have they just changed it to mixed or is there a mistake?

I don't think anything can change once you've accepted it, if you're sure it said single you could phone them and ask. Why don't you want to be mixed anyway?
What do you mean some? As far as I'm aware the majority of accomodation in most universities is mixed.

Some uni's do have mixed sex accomadation.

They're not going to chuck you outside, especially at such short notice. I'd have thought that being in mixed accommodation could be better anyway.
