should i do keto or modified ?

i want to lose about 30 pounds between now and August. Should i do the keto diet or do a slower modified diet? I hate slow progress and usually crash diet (which i end up gaining all the weight back) . So my modified diet is to not eat any junk food and cook mostly from home. Today I had 1 piece of toast with avocado and 1 scrambled egg, for lunch i had a protein shake and made myself a turkey sandwich with strawberries for dinner. It was very yummy and filling. When I did keto, i felt hungry all of the time... but i lost like 20 pounds in a month !!! but is it possible that i can lose 30 pounds in 7 months by a modified diet- ( like the one i do now)? If you guys have any healthy diet ideas, let me know!!! Also, let me know if keto is better. (i excersise 40-65 minutes a day)

Aren’t you the same person who wanted to get back on track and recover from eating disorders??? Why are you obsessed with losing weight? I’m sure you already did like a lot from what you mentioned.

i feel like 110 is too fat. I want to weigh at least 80lbs. Healthy!
Checking your post history (Nelial's comment concerned me) it seems that it wouldn't be the best decision to advise you here. I'm not going to say "stop thinking about how much you weigh" because I know it's probably not that easy, but please try to tell someone (trained) how you feel and what your concerns are regarding your weight. Eating disorders seem like horrible things to experience and the best thing for you wouldn't be to lose more weight, but to ask a professional why you don't feel healthy at the weight you're at now

I eat 950-1200 calories a day and try to keep my carbs to no more than 40 grams (in keto i had only 20-25 grams of carbs). If you guys have any healthy diet ideas, let me know!!! Firstly only lose weight if you need to e.g. check your BMI and/or talk to your GP.

You say you hate slow progress diets but use crash diets and gain it back... surely in the time you've done the crash diets and gained it all back over and over you could have done the slower progress diet and kept the weight off. Crash diets are a waste of time and really unhealthy. Slower progress aka healthy diets are much better and shouldn't lead to weight gain again and things like loose skin etc.

Not everyone is suitable for keto, just listen to your body, consult a nutritionist if necessary. Look for information about a calorie deficit where there are no hard limits, I'm sure you'll like it better.

Weighing under 6 stone is NOT healthy! You need to speak with a medical professional because the issue isn't your weight or your diet, it's your mindset.
I'm surprised people actually contributed here, OP has edited the original post, lied about their daily calorie intake (according to previous posts of theirs) -- this person should not be encouraged to do anything but speak to a doctor about their weight.

Most of which is water weight. Carbs retain water and cutting these out means you don't hold as much water. Well done! they've celebrated urination. To lose weight or fat if you must you need a calorie deficit, carbs do not make you gain weight, a calorie surplus does.

Totally agree. Sadly, this happens on most of the weight loss threads, but you can't report them to the mods for possible EDs and bad advice; I've tried.

Some people take it at face value and are genuinely trying to be helpful, but don't think to ask the obvious questions about the OP's age or whether they actually need to lose weight. Others just like to show off their supposed health knowledge, but are just promoting ridiculous fad diets. When things like suicide and self-harm can be highlighted I don't understand why this isn't something that is addressed in the same way, with specialist advice. It's very poor.

Because we aren't specialists. People ask and they get answers, I am not even remotely close to being a medical expert or someone who is good with handling these issues. If it was that out of hand it'd be better to ask a medical professional, not TSR...

As for age, height etc these all play a role in what a person needs to lose weight, but I am sure that most the people responding are just like me. Workout, read about food and nutrition a little bit to help us and saw results. Unless there are any specialists that wanna go through all of that don't expect anything other than basic general advice that works for us and many others, because we are not getting paid for that.

But what I'm saying is there are cases where the answer should be "ask a medical professional" because the OP has issues or is totally clueless about how to eat or exercise, and either won't understand what is being said or will cherry-pick the extremes for quick results. You can tell soon enough whether the OP is sensible enough to be given general advice or if they should be cautioned against losing weight.

Yeah I agree, well said but OP is just as capable as finding fad diets and other extreme weight loss methods online all it takes is a quick search on google and then the next minute you have a shirtless man telling you to do crazy stuff to lose weight. But yeah I do agree and hope OP gets the help they need.
