Have you heard of Not My Beautiful House?

Not My Beautiful House is a creative space run by Kingston University students and graduates, the Union of Kingston Students and Studio KT1. So, if you are an art student or you are one of those people that appreciates the hard work behind unique pieces of art then you will love to hear about this project!

Around 2 months ago I saw on Instagram about a place opened in Kingston called Not My Beautiful House. I couldn’t wait to go and check it out and, finally, I recently visited and I loved it!

Not My Beautiful House not only allows Kingston graduates, alumni and residents to sell their unique pieces of art, but also wants people to host skills workshops, preparing creatives to sell their work and entrepreneurs to start their own businesses, as well as events to celebrate the creativity, culture and diversity in and around Kingston.

You might be wondering “is there anything exciting happening right now?”... And the and the answer is “YEEEEES!”. If you visit Not My Beautiful House now and until the 24 July 2021, apart from lovely people, colourful and unique pieces you will be able to see William Morris: Wallpaper Man’s exhibition. This exhibition of new work is a collaboration with the William Morris Society. Created by the Storybox Collective—an interdisciplinary group of KSA students, recent graduates, alumni and academics—the work for the exhibition is inspired by the cultural and political legacy of Morris.

So, if I have ignited your curiosity, you would like to sell your art, book a space to run an exhibition, workshop or event, or simply want to buy something unique you DEFINITELY need to visit this place!

It is located at Fife Road19-23 and it is open from 11am until 6pm from Wednesday to Saturday and from 11am until 4pm on Sundays.
