well you would need to be insured to drive their car on a learners permit and remember if you pass the test you cannot drive it away as your insurance automatically ends and will need to be insured under a new drivers policy

There are no restrictions placed on the owner of the vehicle.
However, if you want to drive the car to the test centre yourself, then the normal rules apply with regards to the person supervising you during that journey. That means they must be over 21 and must have held their full license for at least 3 years.
If those conditions don't apply to the person who will supervise you (presumably the owner), then have them drive to the test centre with you as a passenger.
