Hi,
I’m a bit worried, I’m a mature student with 2 little children so will not be doing the whole freshers thing, does that mean when I start Uni in September everyone will have made friends in my group already at freshers? Thanks

I missed out on freshers last year because I had covid, I was also a commuting student. I still managed to become friends with people on my course! I can't speak for being a mature student but I'm sure you'll do fine. Maybe there's a society or facebook/ whatsapp group for mature students? It's worth having a look! But generally people are pretty friendly and willing to talk to everyone if that makes you feel any better
