What sort of questions should one expect in a nursing interview

Hi there.

It may be useful to review the NMC code and the 6 C's of nursing. Try to think of experiences where you've shown the 6C's of nursing (they don't necessarily have to be clinically associated). It may also be worth preparing for questions on how you deal with stress too.

@Tracey_W could confirm this and advise further.

Best wishes.

What sort of questions should one expect in a nursing interview

Hi
@TriplexA ta for the tag on this.

Below are some examples of what you may be asked for your nursing interview okay.

Why do you want to be a nurse
What experience do you have of nursing as a career
What do you think is a typical day for a nurse.
What do you think will be most challenging about this course
What is the hardest part about being a nurse in the UK today
Are you interested in a specific area of nursing and if so why
What media resources do you use to learn about nursing issues
Describe the role of the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) and read up on the NMC code of practice.
The 6 C's of nursing ( compassion, care, communication )
How would you cope with a bereavement on your shift and especially if you have been looking after this particular patient.
How would cope with stress
How would you deal with a irrated / angry patient or there relative's.

I'm not a adult nurse okay but I'm a registered midwife with the NHS.
Best of luck
