I am going to Berlin in the first week of February and am wondering if people have been and what they would recommend doing.
I have been there last year in October. My tips to you:
Brandenburg Gate, must have for everyone who is in Berlin for the first time! Checkpoint Charlie, this district of Berlin is full of history and shows you the city in times of cold war and division in West and East Berlin. Museum Island, A place with a lot of interesting museums around. Berlin Cathedral, climb the roof up on the cheap and you get a wonderful look around the city. Kurfürstendamm, Berlin's well-known shopping street has everything you wish. Alexanderplatz, another place in Berlin with great shopping malls to go. Reichstag building, go for a walk, it is very close to the Brandenburg Gate. Samurai Museum, one of the best Museums I met. The exhibits are amazing and the interaction with touch screens is a brilliant idea.
