I think that the only problem I have with the survey is that it doesn't allow room for nuance. Two friends throwing offensive, verbal abuse at each other in a joking or sarcastic way is very different and evokes a very different response to a stranger throwing offensive, verbal abuse at another stranger. I'm assuming all those situations mentioned are ones of animosity and not banter
