Placements for Midwifery degree

When do midwifery placements take place during the degree?

is it during the course of your teaching/learning or is it during the holiday periods?

I cant seem to find information on that part
Universities don't give you placement during holiday periods - that's your entitled holidays from uni.

Placements are part of your learning. You do either:
- 2-3 days university, 2-3 days placement (5 days total), or
- X weeks' university/theory, Y weeks' placement
...with no placement or theory section eating into holidays.

Hello @crazymartyeo [br] [br] I hope you’re well. When your placements take place, is all dependent on uni. It is usually only during your usual ‘university’/term time unless there are other circumstances in which you may need to makeup extra clinical hours. For example, I’m a 3rd year student midwife at Coventry and we only do placement during our ‘learning’ time and any hours we have missed we can makeup during holiday periods, once authorised.

It is best to liaise with the university in which you’re hoping to study midwifery at and get a definitive answer from there though as all midwifery courses are just slightly different!
