Left law degree for data analysis...worth picking up at some point?

Hey everyone. I'm a 30 years old student who has recently left HE.

I need to focus on making some money so I have decided to go down the route of data analyst, since you don't really need a degree for that.

Is it worth picking up my degree at some point? I've only completed my first year of law, so I might as well finish it in 2024? I'm just worried about employers who require a degree even though it's not really necessary.

If you work on building a portfolio and show your passion for data analytics you don't need a degree for getting into business intelligence. I would suggest doing some online courses and working on your own data projects in Tableau/Power BI, since you have a background in law you can leverage that experience when applying for places like the Met Police, MI5, Civil Services, etc. Alternatively, try a data analytics apprenticeship or a skills bootcamp.
