We were analysis other people's essay today for english, and my teacher graded one of the essay 16/30 because they used quotes from one act

yes, always consider the entire text when answering questions. that doesn't mean use a quote from every scene, but try using quotes across the play - this shows a higher level of understanding to the examiner
