Chemical engineering from chemistry

I have seen a masters course at bham that you can get onto from chemistry but is there any point doing that. Would I be able to get a job as a chemical engineer?I am currently a first year doing chemistry and I am on the placement year course. I was thinking if i don't like lab jobs then could then get a masters in chem eng
I am currently studying chemical engineering and many of our lecturers started off with an MChem or something similar than specialised in areas relating to Chemical Engineering. They are also former industry professionals so I would imagine its possible. I don't see why not. Like if you have the knowledge and ability to complete a meaningful Masters in Chemical Engineering then you'll be highly knowledgeable in whatever area you specialised in and therefore highly employable in that sector.

i was just wondering that if i were to do that would I be able to work as a chemical engineer because I don't have a full engineering degree. So would that be a waste of time

Yeah aha my point was that a lot of my lecturers did undergrad chemistry, post grad chem eng and still ended up working as pretty successful chemical engineers before becoming lecturers.
I can't speak to how common this is with others though but hopefully the logic I used in my last message makes sense. I don't see why employers would not hire you with a Master in Engineering even though your undergrad was in Chem
