I'd like to know whether a degree from the OU is looked down on as it has no formal entry requirements. I achieved high grades in English at GCSE and a levels and would prefer studying via the Open University with a job . My ambition is to become a teacher but I've been told the OU is for people who don't have proper qualifications. Are you able to answer any of these questions for me. Thanks
Employers love the OU because it demonstrates so much more about a person than their academic ability: it shows real dedication and grit given that most OU students complete their studies whilst working, caring, raising kids and so on.
It's by no means mickey mouse or less than a degree from a brick university.
