ICAEW Case Study July 2023 - how much pre-AI work?

The AI for case is released in 10 days, my course provider has suggested we do 3 mocks + real exam for 2 past papers (Nov 22 and Jul 22), 8 in total.

I'm trying to get through these but it's going VERY slowly. I'm doing bits of questions, looking through the marking key & model answers etc. however since it's not my AI, not much is going in. Anyone else feeling this?

From anyone else's experience, how much did you actually do prior to the AI being released?

I’d suggest only skimming through the answers of past question papers as it largely is pointless to spend a lot of time and effort working on understanding and making notes from the AI of a case study that isn’t your exam 😅 it would be far more beneficial to do locks surrounding the July 2023 AI and try to get an understanding of the AI like the back of your hand….flipping through 40 pages of data during a time pressured exam isn’t worth all the time spent on revising older papers
