Failing second year

Hi i’m an international student in ntu. I had a really tough year due to my father’s leukemia got worse and i had an abortion which affect my mental health a lot. I failed to submit all my course works and my engagement was very low as well. now i’m waiting for my outcome from examination board but i know i will be asked to withdrawn from course. But i don’t want to leave university right now. I just had a very tough year and i know i’ll be better if i have another chance. So i’m trying to apply for reconsideration when I receive my official result.

Does anyone have similar experiences as me or successfully appeal for reconsideration? (Academic appeal)
