Age requirement for A100 course

Hi. Could anyone guide me regarding schools that have a strict 18 years age criteria versus those who don’t insist on it.

Have already checked with Bristol, Leicester, Norwich and Liverpool who don’t consider students even 1 day younger than 18 on the 1st October of starting year.

Some that do allow with less stringent age restrictions are Nottingham, Newcastle, Sheffield.

It would be great if we all could contribute towards understanding the remaining school requirements especially Birmingham.

P.s. I shall turn 18 on 5th October and so am missing out on many schools.

I believe BSMS allows 17 year-olds to enrol. As per their website: “I will be 17 years old when the course starts, can I still apply?

Answer: Yes, we have had applicants who are 17 when they start the course. We are unable to consider applicants who will be 16 or under at the start of the course.”

Hi! University of Birmingham have less strict restrictions for the A100 course as well (I've met a few first year medical students who were under 18 there :smile:
