MAT prep 2023

Hi- I'm applying for maths at oxford this september (2023) and I've started looking at some mat papers. I've been doing them timed and so far I've gotten pretty much exactly the average mark for oxford applicants, which is obviously a fair bit below the average mark for interview/offer holders.

I'm hoping that lots of practice and going carefully through my mistakes will help me improve over the summer but I'm not really sure how much improvement to expect. Does anyone who's already sat the MAT remember how much they got better by?? Is the average applicant mark an ok place to be by this point in the year?
