Do consulting companies look at grade transcripts?

I am a medical student at a target university. I have earnt my BA in medical science and received a first classification, however I have pretty poor 1st and 2nd year results (60-65%, all passes). I am thinking about applying to management consulting companies (Mckinsey, BCG etc) and was wondering whether this would disadvantage me and by how much, as I realise that these firms are extremely competitive to get into. Is it likely for me to be rejected outright for my below average transcript? Or will they mainly look at the degree classification in deciding who to interview?

If you're a medical student, then why are you applying to consulting jobs in the first place?

Because I want to leave medicine?
