Freshers Week

What is the probability of getting laid during Freshers Week? Like if I go out and introduce myself to as many girls as possible, how likely is it that I’ll be successful? This is considering that I’m currently a virgin, but that’s more due to a lack of women near me rather than necessarily being off-putting.

How long is a piece of string? Very much depends on you - how handsome you are and how you come off; it also depends on whom you're pursuing; but the odds will be much higher if you go to a lot of freshers' events. I personally found more success after freshers' when people had already settled in and were more comfortable in the new environment, but I'm not exactly Zac Effron.

So, taking the attractiveness part out (not saying I'm ugly), how should I come off? Like confident but not arrogant and how would I do that if so? Who is best to pursue? Also, I do intend to go to as many freshers events as possible. Thanks for the advice so far and I commend you for your grammar.

Freshers is full of expectation and disappointment.
It’s more likely an episode of “the in - betweeners” than a porn movie.
Some people score, get laid, some don’t.
It is often an anticlimax as expectations and tall stories get handed down like the Gospel and, as everyone knows, what your mate’s mate once claimed is always true.

You’re more likely to be “lucky “ a few weeks in once everyone is calmer and has a chance to get to know you.

Dude, I can't teach you to pick up girls on the student room. There's no way for you to verify my credentials or whether what I'm saying works for the wrong reasons if at all. That's something you'll have to figure out on your own through trial and error, or via close male friends. Rejoice though, because freshers' week is a great opportunity to get a lot of experience (and it should be the experience you're aiming for if you don't want to be disappointed).

As for how to act and who to pursue - pursue who you're interested in, (because who else would you pursue?), but if you're looking for one-night stands I'm sure your intuition will work for you. How to act: try not to let your future self regret inaction (...or bad action).
