Summer in Kingston: Bushy Park

If you are staying in Kingston for the summer and are looking for things to do, why not head to Bushy Park! Located just a stone’s throw away from Hampton Court palace and only a 10 minute bus ride away from Kingston Station, Bushy Park is one of London’s eight royal parks which also happens to be the second largest!

Aside from being the perfect location for picnics or long walks in the summer, Bushy Park is also home to a few notable monuments like the Diana Fountain, designed by the famous Sir Christopher Wren, and the historic Upper Lodge Water Gardens that you might want to check out!

Personally, my favourite part about Bushy Park would be the Woodland Gardens and Pheasantry Cafe! If you are a fan of peaceful walks surrounded by tranquil streams and towering trees, a stroll within the Woodland Gardens is for you. Nestled within the garden is the Pheasantry Cafe, which offers a small selection of hot food and drinks where you can stop for a meal before continuing on your journey. If you are lucky you may be able to spot some ducks and rabbits frolicking about!
