Which are the best colleges for art & design away from the city
Away from which city? Or are you looking for art and design focused universities in town/countryside locations?

In that case AUB (Bournemouth) and Falmouth are the 2 from https://www.peopleofprint.com/best-of/top-10-universities-for-graphic-design-and-illustration-in-uk/ that aren't in cities

Hi @Kristenate

We are based in Plymouth, which is a small city, but we are based right by the sea and are surrounded by countryside, including Dartmoor National Park which is a short bus journey/car ride away.

A lot of our team goes for sea swims after work too which is lovely.

If you're interested in Graphic Design or Illustration, we have courses in both! Happy to answer any questions you have.

Good luck with your course choices, I personally love living away from a big busy city, but like the balance that Plymouth brings for me.

In terms of the quality of work that students produce, look at Falmouth, AUB (Bournemouth is quite a large town but by the sea), Winchester School of Art, Hertfordshire, NUA, and Lincoln.

They're all well-run courses, producing excellent graduates - and in fairly small, quite towns and cities.
