Getting funding for a Master's in Scotland that SAAS don't recognise
I've been accepted onto a part time PGdip-MSc course, which will lead to doctoral level training in the field of therapy in the NHS. I'm a mature student and currently work for local government in psychology related role (and will continue to work there during the course).
Unfortunately SAAS don't have this course listed as a qualification they would fund.
I'm struggling to find avenues of funding for course fees, and will struggle to self-fund at present. My employer has granted me the time but cannot find the money to put me through the training (particularly as it will be NHS and not Local Authority work that I will eventually join).
Does anybody know of any funding bodies or ways of finding funding for this field? Any mental health funds? Pots of money to support professional development in psychology/therapies/MH?
I'm a female, from a working class background and a mature student (32).
