Clearing

Would the fact that the course you applied to is already in clearing increase your chances of getting in? Like I’d have thought it means they’re wanting more people so they’d be less likely to reject me?
Yes I'd say so

The only way to confirm your place on a course is to meet your offer.

However, if the course is in Clearing with lower entry requirements than your offer, then you probably stand a decent chance of getting in if you meet those lower requirements. It's less effort for a uni to accept a near miss applicant than find someone else in Clearing.

If the entry requirements for Clearing are the same as your offer, then it will really be up to the uni whether they are happy to consider a near miss candidate or would rather find someone in Clearing who met their requirements.
