Best academic experience is to do some reading in that subject, beyond your A Level (or equiv) studies. Work experience isn't required but would help. Any examples of you holding down a job somewhere will be beneficial, and reflect on what it has taught you perhaps. But the course at uni will involve tonnes of reading, so the most important thing is to show that you're already reading about finance/business/economics but for your own interest. :smile:
