Personal statement for applications for vet med

Hi, I am interested to find out how to wow the admissions dept with my personal statement. I have no idea how or where to start. Any help much appreciated.

Start with :
"I realised I wanted to do Veterinary as a career when ......"
and describe, briefly that incident, or something you read, realised, saw etc that made you realise this was going to be your career path.

Are you applying UK or US?
In the stickied thread on this forum you can find a very useful breakdown as to how to write a personal statement specifically for veterinary medicine. The technique used for vetmed is different to writing other subject's personal statements, so I would avoid generic advice. For example, you want to mostly write about things you saw and learnt on work experience.
