Resitting and Reapplying?

If you don’t get the grades you need how do you arrange a resit? Also in terms of reapplying how does that work, because wouldn’t the uni still see the missed grades you got? And since we’re out of school we’re not going to be getting predicted grades? Or do we put the old predicted grades from our mocks as well as the grade we achieved?
Also how do you get another reference for your application?

Your first port of call should be your college/school to see if they offer the option to resit there.

They’ll also be the people you ask for a new UCAS reference so getting contact details for who you should talk to about that is key. Your referee is asked for predicted grades. They’re optional and many resit applicants don’t have predictions in their application.

Your new UCAS application will list your completed grades (A levels and GCSEs) and then you list the qualifications you’re resitting a second time with an August 2024 award date (linked to whichever exam centre you end up resitting with)
