applying to imperial as a resit student

I got my a level results this year and I was very disappointed.
I achieved an A* In maths, A In further maths and Bs In 2 sciences. although I am holding offers, this Is quite disappointing as I have missed out on Imperial. I am considering resitting a science a level, hopefully to achieve an A and resitting my further maths to achieve an A*, and reapplying for mathematics.
does reapplying as a resit candidate put me at any disadvantage?
