I always wore dresses and heels/ballet flats to court; my husband always wore a suit and smart shoes. When I've worked in court teams, we've always kept a spare "court jacket" and/or tie in our team room for emergency hearings. I'm out of frontline practice now so live for being comfy at work - I'm in a jumper, jeans and Docs today!
