UCAS application - should I tick this box?

Should I tick “have your parents/carers attended university?”
My absent dad has been to university but I never see him and he doesn’t have custody of me. I just don’t think I have any advantage since I didn’t grow up with him.

It doesnt matter that much either way - but if you are not comfortable including him, then its fine not to tick the box.

Yeah it’s just that some universities use it to give out contextual offers as it’s considered a disadvantage
