Hi I’m retaking my first year due to some issues with repeated bereavement and more taking a toll on me so I was wondering how, if at all, I can apply for the SFE (student finance England) gift year to fund tuition?

Yes, if you've not studied prior to the first year then you'd be eligible to use your gift year to retake the year. Thanks, Jason
