That's too vague to make a meaningful comparison. On the travel front, it depends on mode/s of travel, time of day and frequency. On accommodation there are factors such as catered or non-catered, ensuite or shared bathrooms, length of contract.

If you get a Oyster student card and buy a travelcard, you can 30% off your fare.

Here are the fare prices.

It is cheaper to commute than to get student accommodation.
