Tips for learning for an Invertebrate Zoology Class and Laboratory

I am a college student with Dyslexia and am having a hard time trying to learn the scientific names, and organizing how all these concepts fit together. I have a hands-on lab with a lecture portion and an entire lecture class. I am wondering others how have gone about learning the material and what they did during those classes to learn the information.

I also have dyslexia and this helped me study science at level 3
1) write everything you remmeber straight after the class without looking at ur notes
2) look at drawings and diagrams
3) make pneumonics
4) look at videos
5) make mind maps
6) talk about what you learnt or if u have no one make a fake class where u pretend to teach them
7) ask ur family members to test your knowledge
8) when memorising make sure u get 8 hours of sleep Exactly
9) review notes in morning- do not copy stuff in lectures it will be online to view
