How much experience is needed for an off-cycle internship?

I'm a second-year student, my degree is four years, so I wasn't able to complete any spring weeks last year. I'm currently starting to apply for spring weeks for 2024 but haven't made any applications yet. I have a year abroad next year, and I am hoping to apply to some off-cycle internships for IB and consulting. Deadlines for internships starting in July/August are coming up, so I basically have 2 months to apply, but I have basically finance experience (other than the JP Morgan CADP virtual job simulation). What are the chances of me getting an offer? Should I wait for the next round of applications (so I'd be doing an internship Jan 2025)?
