Ancient Greek Translation
I am currently a student on my gap year awaiting to start a classical civilisation degree at Manchester next year. I am very passionate about classics and have always been. One of my many names is Apollonia, which as I understand from online research means ‘belonging to Apollo.’
My father understands a lot of ancient Greek, as we are Greek and he learned it at school and he has translated 'follower of the sun' as ὀπηδὸς τοῦ ἡλίου – written exactly like this (accents and hyphens included). Please if anyone can reassure me, if this is correct as I will have this permanently on my arm and I would hate to have the wrong thing.
