Btec grading / marking

if you take a level 3, 2 year btec does the year 1 content get graded officially half way through or only by your teachers? or do they both get officially graded and sent away together at the end?
Depends on what course you are doing, some have examinations at the end of the year and some are completely assignment based, it is worth checking the specification on the Pearson’s website to find out more information on your specific course.

It’s worth noting that all internally assessed units are assignment based and externally assessed units are exam’s which are usually done at the end of your first and last year.
Your overall grades for all your units are taken at the end of your last year and calculated into your final outcome. This means you should put 100% effort into every single one of your assignments to get the best outcome.

The coursework gets graded by your teachers and it’s usually sent off in the second year( year 13) to like the high ups of BTEC but exams if your school does it early then you could resit but if not then that’s your official grade
