Common colds

Does anyone have any advice on how to avoid these/ boost immunity? I'd prefer if they did not make winters miserable.

What is the actual cause? Can being too cold result in getting a cold - I've heard this is a myth.
wash your hands regularly
wear a (good) mask in busy indoor spaces
Eat well, sleep well, exercise regularly, take your meds
Daily cold showers. Been taking these for 3 years now and the benefits are immense.

We gather in poorly ventilated spaces with infectious people for longer periods of time in the winter. Add in that many people have weaker immunity when it’s darker and that cool damp conditions are perfect for viruses to linger on surfaces and there’s a big uptick in spread.

Cold viruses do linger on surfaces so wash your hands (and commonly touched surfaces) regularly. Especially before you eat or drink.
