How long does it take to get a transgender gender recognition certificate in the UK?
This isn't about being a student, but this is the only forum I'm really on so hopefully I'll be allowed to ask it here. If anyone here is transgender and has a gender recognition certificate in the UK (specifically England), how long did it take you to get it? I'm transgender. (I'm 19 so an adult and have been living as my gender for over 6 years and am being treated on the NHS, and have sent in all the necessary forms, so there shouldn't be any complications in my application process). I just sent off the application. But I've heard it can take them months to verify and send the certificate for some reason?
