should i apply for foundation year AND no foundation year of a uni course...?

so like i wanna max my choices to be different unis but theres this one course i really wanna do, like numero uno... and i was thinking of applying for both of the course versions because theres also the one with foundation year... would they maybe.. offer this instead if i got rejected..? do unis try to see if i qualify for something similar that i meet requirements for? or is that not their business (University of South Wales) ye im hella last minute cuz i had exams and i have no clue how this uni stuff works
Ask them directly.

Most universities will consider applicants for both yr 1 and yr 0 automatically
I wouldn't recommend this unless you've approached the uni and they tell you that it might be worthwhile. As noted by PQ, many, many unis will consider you for both courses automatically with one application.
