Can I lie about work experience on my CV?
One of my friends in the year above did this and they got into their job with no struggles. I was wondering if I could put down that I did a 1 day work experience at a small company. Also I wanted to know if these student work experience days show up in background checks and also if companies will contact them to verify that i did.
Why not just find some work experience placements so you don’t have to lie?
Generally - if something is important to an employer then it will be checked. If it isn’t important then it’s pointless to lie about.
