Help with job hunt

Do you need a cover letter to be given a interview at WHSmith. I've tried their twice in the last few years but never had a interview??

I am sorry to hear that you have not yet received an interview from WHSmiths.

Regarding your question about needing a cover letter, I would say that yes it is normally standard procedure to provide a cover letter along with your CV.

I remember finding writing cover letters quite daunting.

But they are essentially a summary of the skills you have that make you a great candidate for that particular job! So it will be a lot smaller than your CV.

What I did was look up tips on how to write a good cover letter, YouTube was a great place! But also don't be afraid to ask the people around you, most people will have had to write a cover letter so they will be able to give you their tips :smile:
