What are GCE A levels & AVCEs?

I've applied to Lincoln University, and got a full offer but only if i get 64 UCAS points from "2 GCE A levels or AVCEs" (or equivalent)

But what are they? And what are they equivalent to? I've never heard of these qualifications before

GCE A-Levels are just A-levels, the most common qualification in the UK taken at age 17/18. If you're an international student id suggest looking up the course youve been offered for on the Lincoln website as under entry requirements they tend to list any international equivalents alongside the a-levels
