Got angry at a friend and feel a bit embarrassed
My friend has been mocking me for once saying I think this actress is attractive for the last two months. The actress is my age (21) but because she plays a teenager in a show, he would keep making out I’m a *****. It’s meant to be a joke but after having to hear it every day on campus I see him for 2 months, it got irritating. I had found out he also found this same actress attractive too. So once he brought up this “joke” in a room full of people out loud, I snapped and I blurted out that he likes her too. He admitted to it but tried to make excuses. What came after is none of my friends backed me up and instead just laughed at me. I felt invalidated and told my friends to shut up. I also got more agitated and started calling the guy “fake”, a “try hard” and a “w**ker”. It then got awkward for the next hour and a half in the lesson, but then they went back to being normal with me without addressing the situation
I just feel a bit embarrassed now and maybe I could’ve handled things better
