What to do at the hairdresser's?
So I'm getting my hair washed and cut so the hairdresser will usually be with my doing my hair the whole time and it only takes maybe 45 minutes so what do I do? I am kind of an awkward person and I just don't know what to do or say because I'm terrible at small talk so what do I say to her? Like I know how to say hi how are you? Or I like your nails but what else can I say to engage in a conversation? I just don't want it to be a super awkward atmosphere for the whole time I'm getting my hair cut but I am a bit shy and do not know how to continue conversations
I honestly just sit in silence most of the time, and only speak if I am asked questions. I know this doesn't really help you though.
Same - I never chat to the hairdresser and it's always been fine and has never felt awkward. But you could always make small talk about the weather, or what both of you did for Christmas or any holidays you have planned. Or just close your eyes and pretend to nap when you are having you hair washed?
