post-2000 novel to link with 'the picture of dorian gray'?

I have to compare a post-2000 novel and a pre-2000 novel for my English Literature coursework.

I would really like to do 'The Picture of Dorian Gray' for the pre-2000 but I'm a little stuck on what to compare it to. I thought about doing 'The Goldfinch' by Donna Tartt but this is almost 800 pages and I think I might struggle because of this.

If anyone has any suggestions then that would be really appreciated

I would suggest starting from why you want to write about Dorian Gray and then find a contemporary novel which fits into that reasoning.
