Is CGP and past papers enough for a 9?

I’ve heard people say that CGP is bad and can limit you to a 5 so can someone tell me if I use only CGP and past papers can I get a 9 in gcse science? If not what else can I use apart from the textbook for content?

I think it's more than enough. My sis missed a lot of school and I simply made her print the spec sheets, make short notes addressing each spec point using the CGP guide, and she did all the past papers on PMT. Revised this way 2 weeks before the exams and scored 3 9s for triple science. The key is to use the past papers' mark scheme to add to your notes because the same type of questions come up again and again and usually the mark scheme answers are the most basic but overlooked (believe it or not).
