Personal Statement Query

Hi all,
At the time of submitting my personal statement I had received a position that I wrote about as a role I was going to step into in the future. However recently there have been developments where I cannot take the role, I have received offers for some universities. Should I contact the universities and how would I best do this? Any advice would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear about the change in your circumstances. It's definitely important to update the universities about the developments in your situation. I'd recommend reaching out to the admissions office of each university where you've received offers as soon as possible. You can either send them an email or give them a call explaining the situation briefly and expressing your gratitude for the offer while informing them of the change. They'll appreciate your honesty and it's always best to keep them informed. Good luck!
