St Andrews - Entry Requirements for Alternate Subject Choices?

Hoping to start at St Andrews doing Psychology Bsc and wondering about the possibility of taking Computer Science and Economics as my alternate subjects in first year. Will I need to meet the specific subject requirements for Computer Science (A in Al level Maths and pass in another Maths/Science subject) in order to take it in the first year and maybe progress with it later on to honours if I enjoy it? Wondering if these requirements apply to your alternate subjects or not?

You can see the prerequisites for each module in the programme requirements/module catalogue. So for example for the first semester module for CS in first year it says ' BEFORE TAKING THIS MODULE YOU MUST HAVE MATHEMATICS (EITHER HIGHER OR A-LEVEL AT GRADE A OR BETTER)'.
